This electronic ignition system incudes a pilot system that lights when 24v AC is applied to the system. Once the pilot is ignited, the main valve turns on the larger burner system. 
 
Uses flame rectification to detect pilot flame, which then turns on the main burner. 
When power is cut, the flame turns off. 
 
Flame height is adjustable by key valve - Set it and forget it. 
 
May require periodic maintenance (cleaning the flame sensor)
